Art Requirements
To avoid being charged for extra design time to prep your art, you can use the information below to make sure your art is ready for production.
Cut Graphics
For any graphic that will need to be cut, we need a file in a vector format. .pdf, .ai, .eps, or .svg are all acceptable file types for cutting. It is best to include any fonts used, or convert all fonts to outlines. Also make sure to embed or provide any images used in the file.
Printed Graphics
For signage that does not require cutting, .jpg and .png are acceptable file types. For general signage, export your artwork at full scale at 150 DPI. For small decals, or prints that will be viewed from under 2 ft, 300 or 600 DPI will provide greater resolution. If you’re sending artwork for rigid signage, it’s best to include 1/4″-1/2″ of bleed around the edges.
Color Matching
It’s impossible to match RGB, CMYK, HEX, or LAB colors in a print. Why? Because all devices display these colors differently. Though they can be used for non-critical applications. Industry standard PMS (Pantone matching System) colors are the only way we can accurately match colors. This is because it is a physical book with thousands of swatches for us to compare colors. We can also match colors to a physical item/paint swatch if you provide it to us.
